tpc sawgrass 17 525d1

While the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass takes its toll on the game's best each year at "The Players", it's brutal on the average Joe - Roughly 125,000 golf balls are donated to the water gods annually by public chops - Lends new meaning to the idea that "it takes balls to play that hole"!

Druids Glen golf club - Covington253-638-1200

Notes & Tips:  I've played here many times as I used to live in the area - The course conditioning was always a little hit & miss ranging from outstanding to "WTF"! - I don't know if that's changed but what I do know is when they keep it cleaned up and you catch a sunny day, Druids Glen is on my state top-25 list!! - The layout is exceptional, you are forced to use every club in your bag, and Mt. Rainier is perched majestically in your grill over much of the course - Risk reward decisions are abundant here - If you are playing well and use your head you can post a good score - If you get greedy and hit it crooked you'll pay, often heavily - Combine all of that with quality practice areas and a full-service bar and restaurant, and you'll see why Druids Glen ranks so highly with me
