Semiahmoo Golf & Country Club
Designed in 1986 by legendary golfer Arnold Palmer, the Semiahmoo Golf Course incorporates the beauty of the natural surroundings into one of Western Washington's finer golf courses. In 1987, it was cited by Golf Digest as the "Best New Resort Course in America." - Semiahmoo is the sister course to Loomis Trail and began life as a private facility - It has since been opened to public play and is definitely worth a visit - The layout is interesting and several holes provide scenic views - The course winds thru wetlands and natural vegetation and it's not uncommon to see deer, bald eagles and assorted wildlife - The fairways lead through cedar and fir lined forests to challenging contoured greens that are surrounded by white sand bunkers - Tee box placements adjust the degree of difficulty to make the course playable for golfers of all skill levels - Yet, at 7,005 yards from the tips, Arnold Palmer has created a golf course that challenges even tour players.
It's generally kept in pretty good shape although it gets a little soggy when the rain comes - The amenities at Semiahmoo are excellent - Large practice green, full driving range and full-service restaurant are all part of the package - If you've not yet had the chance to play Semiahmoo, you should put it on your list - I'd recommend you play it during the dry summer months however, as it is then that you'll enjoy the best that this course has to offer - Visit them online at: Click Here
