GW Notes: I've teed it up at Liberty Lake Golf Course a couple of times and recommend giving it a play. Located a few minutes east of Spokane in Liberty Lake, it's an 18-hole layout that is well worth the price. One of three courses operated by Spokane County, it is well maintained and affordable for all. The course underwent a $6 million facelift in 2008 to the delight of golfers all over the Inland Empire. Liberty Lake is a flat layout that allows golfers to easily carry their sticks or push them around in a 3-wheel cart. It can play long from the tips (just over 6,600 yds.) but of course multiple sets of tees offer enjoyment for all. The fairways are wide enough to entice beating driver off the tee, but water and bunkering await errant shots.
