GW Notes: Since they don’t do a great job of self-promotion, it’s a good thing that I’ve played the Royal City Golf Course. It’s a 9-holer with dual tees so playing 18-holes is a different look the 2nd time around. The layout is pretty good, offering enough length, doglegs, native grasses, sage, and sand. It was a while back that I last played Royal City, but at least on that day, I was happy with the conditioning. Fairways were nicely mown and greens in decent shape. They offer modest amenities, however an RV Park awaits those traveling the area in their rolling home. If you’ve played Royal City GC recently, please leave your thoughts below.
