GW Notes: Because I grew up in Ellensburg, I’ve had the chance to play Sun Country Golf Course several times. The layout offers plenty of variety with some holes flat and open, while others are doglegs through the trees. Water & strategic bunkering await golf balls with behavioral disorders however good golf is rewarded. One of the coolest aspects of Sun Country is that it sports one of the more unique holes Statewide. It’s a par 3 that has you hitting your tee shot from a cliff to a smallish green. Picking a club requires a math degree but a very fun hole indeed! Cart rentals, the 9-Iron Bar & Grill, and RV Park make Sun Country Golf Course a great place to spend the day or a week.
